The Blue River Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1947.
The principle founders were local farmers, businessmen, and many returning veterans from World War II. Our club was founded to promote rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States, and more specifically, residents of our community. Their original goals were to improve marksmanship and safe gun handling, develop self-reliance, and foster good sportsmanship. We still believe in these same ideals 75 years later.
